The PSAI Training Committee
Servicing and Maintaining Portable Sanitation Equipment

The PSAI Training Committee will be rolling out yet another new course at this event. Building on the subject matter of the long-standing Basic Service Technician Training Course, this new offering will cover:

  • operation of pumping equipment including pumping procedures, removing clogs, wash down processes, and safety protocols
  • maintenance and repair of portable sanitation equipment in the field including visual inspection, procedures, repair techniques, and determination of change-out
  • cleaning procedures for individual restrooms (drop tank, recirculating, freshwater flush, and ADA units), trailers, and specialty equipment

If you’re new to the industry, this course will give you a basic foundation on which you can build. If you’ve been in the field a while, it will serve as a reminder of best practices and give you some industry-specific continuing education hours.
